Job summary

Maximus is seeking an experienced Release Manager to orchestrate enterprise releases across multiple teams and value streams. The role requires coordinating with Change, ITIL processes, and agile release trains to ensure smooth deployments and governance.

Qualifications

• Experience as Release Manager or Release Train Engineer in enterprise IT environments.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL-based change and release management processes.
• Experience applying Agile and SAFe frameworks, including PI planning and cross-team coordination.
• Ability to produce and maintain release documentation, metrics, and audit artifacts.
• Experience coordinating releases in high availability environments with strict SLAs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the enterprise Release Manager, coordinating releases across teams, value streams, and domains.
• Lead release planning, sequencing, and dependency management with alignment to ITIL/SAFe processes.
• Coordinate with the Configuration Change Manager to ensure governance and lifecycle compliance.
• Facilitate PI planning with Product Owners and cross-functional teams for multi-month plans.
• Communicate release readiness, outages, and deployment windows to stakeholders.
• Manage cross-team dependencies and resolve conflicts to maintain service stability.
• Synchronize releases with incident management, DR, and operations teams for continuity.
• Track progress and metrics using dashboards and SAFe burn-up/down charts.
• Support Agile/SAFe practices and ensure audit-ready release documentation.
