Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Configuration Change Manager to lead enterprise change, configuration and release management programs. You will own CMDB integrity, align activities with SELC/ITSM, and coordinate across multiple teams to minimize disruption.

The role requires 8–12 years in IT service or change management, US citizenship or equivalent, and ability to obtain Public Trust. A Bachelor’s in IT/CS/Engineering is preferred; ServiceNow experience highly valued.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust; DHS suitability preferred; U.S. citizenship or national status required.
• Demonstrated leadership of configuration, change, and release management in enterprise IT environments.
• Experience maintaining CMDB data accuracy and integrity.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL-based ITSM processes (change, configuration, release).
• Experience aligning processes with federal lifecycle frameworks (SELC or similar).
• Ability to coordinate enterprise-wide changes across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Experience onboarding systems into operations with documentation and process alignment.
• Ability to develop/configure baselines, governance, and audit practices.
• Experience supporting Agile/SAFe planning and release coordination.
• Ability to produce technical docs, procedures, and reporting artifacts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Configuration Change Manager and lead enterprise configuration, change, and release management services.
• Manage full lifecycle of IT/OT changes: intake, tracking, review, approval, scheduling, execution, documentation.
• Ensure activities align with SELC, IT Systems Lifecycle, and ITSM best practices.
• Maintain CMDB as authoritative source of record and ensure accuracy and auditability.
• Establish baselines and governance controls for integrity and compliance across environments.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to manage change windows, planned releases, and outage communications.
• Assist onboarding of new systems by aligning scope, dependencies, and configuration requirements.
• Identify and track new workloads and services for proper integration into change processes.
• Collaborate with incident/disaster recovery teams to protect service stability and recovery readiness.
• Drive continuous improvement of change/release processes across the enterprise.
