Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in release management, deployment coordination, or a related delivery role.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, environment management, and change control processes.
• Experience with release or work-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or similar).
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate across technical and business teams under time pressure.
• Comfort managing multiple release schedules simultaneously in a fast-paced, client-facing setting.
• Healthcare, government, or payer/provider systems experience a plus.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience; ITIL certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the release calendar and coordinate release schedules across concurrent client projects.

• Collaborate with development, QA, and UAT to confirm scope, sequencing, and dependencies.
• Lead release planning and go/no-go meetings, surface risks to stakeholders.
• Coordinate deployment activities across environments (dev, test, staging, prod).
• Maintain release docs, including release notes and change logs.
• Identify and mitigate release risks and escalate blockers.
• Support post-release monitoring and rapid issue resolution.
• Continuously refine release practices and templates across engagements.

About the Role

Our client is looking for a Release Manager to own the planning, coordination, and governance of software releases across our client implementation engagements. You'll be the connective tissue between development, QA, UAT, and client stakeholders, making sure releases move through environments smoothly, on schedule, and with minimal disruption. This is a highly cross-functional role for someone who thrives on structure, risk management, and keeping complex, multi-team efforts on track.

What You'll Do

• Own the release calendar and coordinate release schedules across concurrent client projects
• Define and enforce release management processes, including release readiness criteria, approval gates, and rollback plans
• Partner with development, QA, and UAT teams to confirm release scope, sequencing, and dependencies
• Lead release planning and go/no-go meetings, ensuring risks and open items are visible to stakeholders before deployment
• Coordinate deployment activities across environments (dev, test, staging, production) with technical teams
• Maintain release documentation, including release notes, change logs, and post-release reports
• Identify and mitigate release risks, escalating issues that could affect timeline or client commitments
• Support post-release monitoring and coordinate quick resolution of any issues that surface after go-live
• Continuously refine release management practices and templates to improve consistency across engagements

What You Bring
