Job summary

CDM Smith seeks a Senior Manager, Project Controls to lead enterprise project controls for a large, complex portfolio of municipal, industrial, and federal design-build projects. The role drives governance, standardized methodologies, and cross-functional alignment from planning through closeout.

You will advance digital transformation by modernizing platforms, workflows, reporting, automation, and predictive insights in partnership with Digital Delivery and Technology teams.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership of project controls for large, complex portfolios.
• Experience with integrated design-build, progressive delivery models, and related controls.
• Track record of delivering digital transformation in enterprise platforms.
• Strong knowledge of cost engineering, scheduling, forecasting, and risk control.
• Ability to translate data into actionable executive insights.

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise project controls governance and strategic standards.
• Lead design-build and alternative delivery approaches across portfolios.
• Strengthen budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, and change management.
• Develop dashboards and reporting for margin, cash flow, and risk.
• Modernize controls platforms and automate analytics with IT partners.
• Establish scalable document and records controls across projects.
• Develop talent and build a high-performing, distributed team.
