Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Manager, Project Controls to lead enterprise-wide controls for a large portfolio of municipal, industrial, and federal projects. The role requires deep experience in integrated design-build, risk management, and data-driven decision support.

Ideal candidates will drive modernization of controls platforms, implement AI-enabled forecasting, and build a strong, distributed team of schedulers, cost controllers, and document control professionals across regions.

Qualifications

• Experience leading project controls for large, complex portfolios.
• Experience with integrated design-build, progressive design-build, CMAR, or similar delivery models.
• Proven success in digital transformation or enterprise data initiatives.
• Deep knowledge of cost engineering, scheduling, forecasting, EVM, risk and commercial management.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise project controls strategy, standards, and governance across regions.
• Establish controls for design-build and other delivery models; align planning through closeout.
• Strengthen budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and change management.
• Develop leading indicators and dashboards for margin, cash flow, and delivery risk.
• Lead modernization of platforms, data, and automated reporting with AI-enabled forecasting.
• Set scalable document controls and data quality standards.
• Collaborate with leadership and delivery teams to improve profitability and client outcomes.
• Build a geographically distributed team of schedulers and cost controllers.
