Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Manager, Project Controls to lead enterprise-wide project controls across a portfolio of municipal, industrial, and federal projects. You will shape governance, systems, analytics, and talent to deliver projects safely, profitably, and predictably.

The role requires deep experience in integrated design-build and related delivery models, with a focus on modernizing platforms, workflows, reporting, automation, and AI-enabled forecasting across the organization.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership of project controls for large, complex portfolios.
• Experience with integrated design-build, CMAR, or comparable delivery models.
• Experience driving digital transformation and analytics across enterprise platforms.
• Deep knowledge of cost engineering, scheduling, earned value management, risk, and document controls.
• Strong business and financial acumen with executive-level decision support.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise project controls strategy, standards, and governance.
• Lead integrated design-build and other delivery models across portfolios.
• Strengthen budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and change management processes.
• Develop dashboards and actionable insights for margin, cash flow, and delivery risk.
• Champion automation and AI-enabled forecasting in partnership with tech teams.
• Establish scalable document controls and data quality standards.
• Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to improve client outcomes.
• Develop talent and build a high-performing enterprise project controls team.
