Wake County Public School System seeks an Enterprise Platform Management Administrator to oversee Windows enterprise server hardware and related components. The role requires strong AD/365 skills, virtualization, and scripting capabilities, with hybrid telework and on-site collaboration in Cary, NC.

The ideal candidate will manage Active Directory, 365/Entra ID, virtualization platforms, patching, backups, and security compliance, serving a large district with 200+ schools.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a relevant computer or technology field.
• Two years of experience supporting Windows server environments or enterprise infrastructure.
• Three years of systems administration experience in Windows environments.
• Experience with backup and restore technologies.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Responsabilités

• Administer Windows Server OS in a complex enterprise environment.
• Manage Active Directory including user and group administration, OUs, and GPOs.
• Administer Microsoft 365 and Entra ID environments, including licensing and access management.
• Deploy, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot VMs and virtualization infrastructure.
• Plan and validate server patching and security updates.
• Monitor and troubleshoot enterprise systems.
• Handle backup and recovery operations.
• Maintain documentation of systems and changes.
• Participate in on-call rotations and maintenance windows.
• Support district-wide infrastructure serving 200+ schools.
• Comply with WCPSS standards and complete admin docs.
• Provide input on system improvements.
• Work on school conversions/upgrades and special projects.
