Job summary

Orangeburg County Schools is seeking a System Administrator to manage Windows Server environments, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Active Directory in a school district setting. The role includes maintaining enterprise apps, patching, scripting, and ensuring DR readiness.

The ideal candidate will handle identity and access management, device enrollment via Intune, and provide advanced technical support while contributing to cybersecurity initiatives and incident response readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Windows Server environments.
• Hands-on with Microsoft 365 and Entra ID for identity services.
• Ability to implement security, backups, and disaster recovery plans.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments and enterprise apps.
• Manage Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
• Administer Intune including device enrollment and configuration.
• Support identity management, SSO, MFA and least privilege access.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Oversee backups, storage, DR readiness, and monitoring.
• Deploy patches, security fixes, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Develop scripts to automate monitoring and reporting.
• Document systems, licensing, certificates, and inventories.
• Participate in incident response and disaster recovery activities.
