Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking a highly motivated professional to support Enterprise Planning Improvement & Technology, driving improvements to capacity, span reduction, and cost efficiency.

The role requires collaboration across Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Design Engineering, program offices, and Navy customer, with a focus on delivering continuous improvement and strategic initiatives for Virginia-class and Columbia-class programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher is required.
• 5+ years of experience in Project/Program Management, Engineering, Planning, Operations, or Test.

Responsibilities

• Assist with idea generation, documentation, and initiation of new projects.
• Review technical information for completeness and assess assumptions and supporting details.
• Prepare materials for programmatic reviews and leadership briefings.
• Interface with stakeholders to provide updates on project status and progress.
• Develop Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M) with stakeholders.
• Drive project execution and monitor progress against milestones.
• Support development and analysis of program metrics and decision data.
• Identify issues and assist in driving corrective actions.
• Help resolve funding or tasking challenges to support uninterrupted execution.
• Contribute to enterprise improvement initiatives and strategy development.
• Present recommendations with team support for leadership alignment.
• Support and coordinate improvement initiatives, including organizing and facilitating improvement events
