Not just to do something better, but to attempt things you've never thought possible. Are you ready to lead in this new era of technology and solve some of the world's most challenging problems? If so, lets talk.

Your role and responsibilities

IBM Think is IBM’s omnichannel media and events hub, bringing together content that generates awareness, engagement, impact and new digital relationships with visitors and clients. We’re building a team of creators, writers, journalists and technologists who can help people better understand and successfully adopt emerging technologies. We’ll do this by producing exclusive, high-quality content—explainers, feature articles, thought leadership, industry news and analysis, podcasts, newsletters, tutorials, demos and more—that help visitors make sense of new technologies and new ways or working, and connect them to ways IBM can help.

As a Staff Writer, you’ll be responsible for producing high-quality, engaging content that answers questions and furthers interest in technical and business topics relevant to IBM products and services. Reporting to the Editorial Team Lead, your primary responsibilities will be to

  • Produce a variety of content—explainers, feature stories, interviews, blogs, email copy and more—on a regular schedule (e.g. one page or item per week).
  • Collaborate with product managers, digital strategists, subject matter experts (SMEs), salespeople and search engine optimization (SEO) analysts to pitch and develop content that resonates with business and technical audiences and meets them where they are in their buyer journey.
  • Work on multiple content projects simultaneously.
  • Learn and observe IBM style and content standards across all content.
Required education

Bachelor's Degree

  • General understanding of IT concepts, particularly in the areas of AI, data management, digital automation and cloud computing.
Preferred technical and professional experience
  • Data journalism: Experience analyzing technical or business data to uncover story ideas and produce compelling visualizations. Experience with programming and tools for data analysis and data visualization is a plus.
