Job summary

Rightfiber is seeking an experienced Network Support Specialist to join the Network Operations team. You will provide operational support for enterprise customers, provisioning services, and handling move/add/change and disconnect orders.

You may serve as a POC for Field Operations, working independently or in a team to adapt to new technologies and processes. Responsibilities include coordinating orders, maintaining records, troubleshooting service delivery, and activating voice, video and data

Qualifications

• Strong customer service focus.
• Foundational knowledge of routers and networks.
• Understanding of LAN/WAN protocols: Ethernet, Wi‑Fi, VLAN, TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, ACL, SD‑WAN.
• Understanding of OSI model.
• Understanding of VOIP.
• Knowledge of networking tools: Telnet, SSH, ping, traceroutes, Wireshark.
• Experience with Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Provision enterprise services and move/add/change/disconnect orders.
• Coordinate complex orders between departments.
• Maintain records and trouble tickets.
• Manage directory number portability requests.
• Troubleshoot and test service delivery.
• Activate voice, video and data across copper, fiber and Ethernet.
• Troubleshoot virtualization services.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Field Ops, NOC and customers.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
