Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience managing macOS devices in an enterprise environment using Jamf Pro.
• Proven track record deploying and supporting MDM solutions for ~100-200 users.
• Expertise in Jamf Pro administration (Smart Groups, Policies, PreStage Enrollments, Self Service).
• Strong knowledge of macOS system administration (filesystems, permissions, networking).
• Familiarity with integrating Jamf Pro with identity providers (Okta, Azure AD).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Jamf Pro for macOS devices, including enrollment, configurations, policies, and app deployment.
• Administer and troubleshoot macOS devices to ensure security and compliance.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for macOS-related issues with IT teams and end-users.
• Enforce security policies, manage encryption, and ensure compliance with CIS, HIPAA, or GDPR as applicable.
• Develop scripts (Bash, Python) to automate Jamf Pro workflows and reporting.
• Oversee macOS updates, patch management, and firmware updates to stay current and secure.
• Maintain device inventory and generate reports on status and usage using Jamf Pro tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to integrate Jamf Pro with Entra ID, SSO, and endpoint security tools.
• Create and maintain documentation; provide training to IT staff and end-users.
• Stay updated on Jamf Pro features and macOS updates to recommend improvements.

Overview/ Job Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Jamf Engineer to join our Mobile Device Management (MDM) team. The Jamf Engineer will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, and ongoing support of a Jamf Pro-based macOS management solution for approximately 150 users. This role will focus on ensuring a secure, efficient, and user-friendly experience for macOS devices while collaborating with the MDM team to align with organizational IT policies and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deployment and Configuration: Design, implement, and maintain Jamf Pro for managing macOS devices, including device enrollment, configuration profiles, policies, and application deployment.
• Device Management: Administer and troubleshoot macOS devices to ensure compliance with security standards, software updates, and organizational requirements.
• User Support: Provide Tier 2/3 support for macOS-related issues, working closely with end-users and the IT support team to resolve problems efficiently.
• Security and Compliance: Enforce security policies, manage encryption, and ensure devices meet organizational and industry compliance standards (e.g., CIS benchmarks, HIPAA, or GDPR, as applicable).
• Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain scripts (e.g., Bash, Python) to automate workflows, reporting, and device management tasks within Jamf Pro.
• Patch Management: Oversee the deployment of macOS updates, third-party application patches, and firmware updates to ensure devices remain current and secure.
• Inventory and Reporting: Maintain accurate device inventory and generate reports on device status, compliance, and usage metrics using Jamf Pro tools.

• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on Jamf Pro features, macOS updates, and industry best practices to recommend and implement enhancements to the MDM environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience managing macOS devices in an enterprise environment using Jamf Pro.
• Proven track record of deploying and supporting MDM solutions for small to medium-sized user groups (100-200 users).
