Job summary
University of Kansas is seeking an IT Engineer to coordinate administration of Linux and Windows applications and web sites on servers managed by IT Enterprise Systems. You will work in Application Administration to provide user-focused support across campus services and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
The role emphasizes administration of Automic scheduling and Sunapsis, with collaboration across ITES, DBAs, customers, and vendors.
Qualifications
- Three years' experience administering web technologies such as IIS and Apache Tomcat.
- Three years' experience with administration and management of apps on Linux and Windows 2016+.
- High school diploma or higher with progressive relevant experience or degrees as listed.
Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and support enterprise apps on Linux/Windows servers.
- Monitor performance, availability, and security of applications.
- Troubleshoot issues with customers, infrastructure teams, and vendors.
- Apply security patches and maintain operational documentation.
- Coordinate app administration activities with IT Enterprise Systems staff.
- Install, configure, test, document, and support software across environments.
- Participate in upgrades, migrations, and maintenance activities.
- Develop scripts and automation to improve efficiency.
