Job summary

National Life Group is offering a 10-week paid IT Applications Development Intern program in Addison, TX, focusing on modernizing customer experiences through digital solutions. You’ll work with the Inforce Applications team to develop, test, and support enterprise applications in an Agile setting.

As an intern, you’ll gain hands-on exposure to Angular, Java, REST APIs, and DevOps workflows, with opportunities to contribute to automation, documentation, and production support.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree program related to Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, or a similar technical field.
• Enthusiastic, curious, and eager to learn new technologies.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
• Basic understanding of software development concepts, web applications, APIs, or programming.
• Exposure to technologies such as Angular, Java, GitHub, DevOps tools, or cloud platforms is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI tools, prompt engineering, or using AI to support coding and troubleshooting is a plus.
• Previous coursework, personal projects, internships, or hands-on technical experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teammates to document and analyze digital customer experiences.
• Develop metrics, reporting, visualization, analysis, and recommendations to guide strategy.
• Work with technical teams to develop and support web applications, APIs, and solutions for internal and external users.
• Build and enhance applications using Angular, Java, REST APIs, and cloud-based platforms.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and deliver development and support tasks.
• Use DevOps tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube, and JFrog for code management, testing, and deployments.
• Utilize approved AI tools for coding, research, troubleshooting, and documentation.
