Job summary

National Life Group offers a 10-week paid IT Applications Development Intern position within the Inforce Applications team. You’ll work with developers, business analysts, and product owners to develop, test, and support enterprise applications in an Agile environment.

The role provides hands‑on exposure to enterprise development, with opportunities in application development, system integrations, troubleshooting, automation, and technical documentation while gaining real-world experience on

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree program related to Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, or a similar technical field.
• Familiarity with AI tools, prompt engineering, or using AI to support coding is a plus.
• Exposure to technologies such as Angular, Java, GitHub, DevOps tools, or cloud platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teammates to document and analyze digital customer experiences.
• Develop metrics, reporting, visualization, analysis, and recommendations to guide strategy and change initiatives.
• Work with technical teams to develop and support web applications, APIs, and solutions for internal and external users.
• Build and enhance applications using technologies such as Angular, Java, REST APIs, and cloud‑based platforms.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and deliver assigned development and support tasks.
• Use DevOps tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube, and JFrog to support code management, testing, and automated deployments.
• Use approved AI tools for coding, research, troubleshooting, and documentation.
