Job summary

The City of Phoenix is seeking an Infrastructure Services Manager within the Technology Services Division of the Water Services Department. This role leads enterprise infrastructure operations including servers, storage, virtualization, and backup/recovery, ensuring secure, reliable daily operations aligned with city needs.

Reporting to the Assistant CIO, you will manage staff, guide incident response, oversee budgets, and collaborate with stakeholders to align technology with public service

Qualifications

• Three years of experience developing, evaluating, using, and maintaining technical system hardware and software.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information technology, or a related technology field.
• All finalists subject to a criminal background check applicable to the department or position.
• Experience managing staff in an enterprise infrastructure environment and engaging with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership for enterprise infrastructure services, ensuring stable, secure, and reliable day-to-day operations aligned with business needs.
• Lead and manage technical staff, including workforce planning, coaching, performance management, and issue escalations.
• Develop, implement, and enforce IT policies, standards, and procedures for security, risk management, and service delivery.
• Monitor infrastructure performance using metrics and dashboards to drive continuous improvement.
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into practical infrastructure solutions.
