Job summary

The Phoenix Group is seeking a Systems Engineer to deploy, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure, security solutions, and user support services to ensure operational efficiency and user satisfaction. The role blends technical oversight with project management and mentorship to support a growing organization.

Core duties include policy documentation, ticket resolution from Jira, network and endpoint management, automation scripting, AV maintenance, and onboarding/offboarding processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of IT operations support experience for 150+ users in an office environment.
• Proven ITIL-based service management experience.
• At least three years leading IT projects and deployments.
• Strong documentation skills for manuals and workflows.
• Excellent customer service and clear communication focused on user satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Document IT policies, procedures, and workflows for standard operations.
• Resolve IT tickets from Jira-based request systems with timeliness and accuracy.
• Deploy, configure, and manage infrastructure apps and cloud workspace solutions.
• Configure and monitor network infrastructure with PF Sense, Cisco/Meraki, Ubiquiti; use monitoring tools.
• Develop automation via PowerShell, Automox, and other tools for patching and maintenance.
• Install and maintain AV systems and conference room equipment.
• Provide in-office IT support at least four days per week.
• Own projects with timelines and regular status reports to management.
• Manage onboarding/offboarding with secure access and equipment provisioning.
• Develop and maintain SOPs; document weekly project metrics.
• Make independent decisions and escalate when needed.
• Train and mentor junior systems engineers and IT staff.
• Stay informed on industry trends and propose innovative solutions.
• Adhere to change management policies during updates and deployments.
• Maintain management consoles and related systems.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.
