Job summary

Slalom is seeking an AI/ML Architect to design production-grade AI systems spanning data products, model orchestration, and secure governance. You will partner with clients to define strategy, drive architecture across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, and lead delivery of enterprise AI initiatives.

The role requires deep GenAI experience, strong Python skills, and a track record in consulting or IT services. A focus on responsible AI and scalable, hybrid architectures is essential.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of production ML/AI experience.
• 5+ years in professional consulting or IT services.
• Ability to design and govern end-to-end enterprise AI architectures.
• Deep GenAI experience including RAG, embeddings, and multimodal inputs.
• Experience defining agentic AI patterns and safe action orchestration.
• Proficiency with LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, Haystack, or similar tools.
• Strong Python and software engineering practices.
• Experience with enterprise data ecosystems and MLOps patterns.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for enterprise-scale AI systems across data products, pipelines, model orchestration, and workflows.
• Define secure, cloud-native reference architectures across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Lead AI strategy and delivery across GenAI, agentic AI, and multimodal use cases.
• Drive production GenAI adoption including tool/function calling and workflow orchestration.
• Establish AI evaluation, observability, and reliability standards including automated evals and latency monitoring.
• Promote Responsible AI, governance, privacy, and bias mitigation.
• Evaluate emerging AI platforms and provide executive-ready recommendations.
• Mentor cross-functional teams of data engineers, AI engineers, and software engineers.
