Job summary

Slalom is hiring an AI/ML Architect to design production-grade AI systems that integrate data, retrieval, orchestration, APIs, and governance across cloud platforms. You will guide strategy, define secure architectures, and move AI solutions from experimentation into reliable operations at enterprise scale.

You will lead cross-functional teams, shape client engagements, and deliver executive-ready recommendations on use-case fit, risk, and operational complexity while advancing responsible AI

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience implementing ML/AI solutions in production.
• 5+ years of experience in professional consulting or IT services.
• Ability to design and govern production AI systems with data, retrieval, APIs, security and observability.
• Deep expertise in modern GenAI patterns including advanced RAG and embeddings.
• Experience defining agentic AI architecture patterns and multi-agent workflows.
• Strong programming skills in Python and modern software engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for enterprise-scale AI systems across data products and model orchestration.
• Define secure, scalable cloud-native architectures across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Lead adoption of production GenAI and agentic AI with governance and observability.
• Establish AI evaluation, monitoring, and reliability standards across projects.
• Champion Responsible AI, security, privacy, and governance-by-design practices.
• Mentor cross-functional delivery teams and drive business development via technical leadership.
