Job summary

Amex GBT seeks a Studio Operations Manager to lead a dedicated Experience Studio team servicing a major client. You will own resourcing, quality, and reporting across the client’s calendar of meetings and events, and serve as the daily contact for event leadership.

You’ll oversee service levels, scope, and delivery, with strong people leadership, governance, and client-facing reporting. Hybrid experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years in corporate meetings and events.
• Direct leadership of ten or more planners.
• Experience running delivery under a client statement of work.
• Portfolio scale: dozens of programs a year with budgets above $1M.
• Deep knowledge of venue sourcing, contracts, budgets, registration, onsite, and trade shows.
• Forecasting workload and staffing recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the dedicated account team and oversee staffing, performance, and coverage for the program calendar.
• Serve as the daily client contact for event leadership and communicate portfolio performance and risks.
• Own delivery against the statement of work, including service levels and scope.
• Manage calendar resourcing and staffing changes as client needs evolve.
• Collaborate with Account Management on governance, reviews, and client-facing reporting.
• Own event-by-event activity and cost reporting to allocate spend across business units.
• Set quality standards for each function and audit against them.
• Handle escalations with resolutions or recommendations onsite when needed.
• Define team processes within the client environment, including onboarding to the client systems and Cvent.
• Partner with Head of Event Operations on planning, scope, forecasting, and change requests.
