The State of North Carolina, Department of Information Technology, seeks a Systems Administrator II (NS) to deliver Tier 3 endpoint management, security, and OS deployment for statewide agencies.

You will work with Windows and Apple endpoints, cloud PC environments, and tools like Intune, Defender, Autopilot, Entra ID, Tanium, CrowdStrike, and BeyondTrust, ensuring hardening, compliance, and rapid problem resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an IT-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three years of progressive experience in systems software programming.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience as per the Education and Experience Equivalency Guide.

Responsabilités

• Provide Tier 3 technical administration, engineering, escalation, and problem-resolution support for complex endpoint management and security platforms.
• Administer and troubleshoot Windows and Apple endpoint environments, including OS deployment, patching, and configuration management.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell automation, deployment procedures, and security/compliance controls.
• Monitor and remediate vulnerabilities, enforce security baselines, and ensure enterprise endpoint health.
• Coordinate testing, implementation activities, and project deliverables for endpoint initiatives.
• Mentor and support Tier 2 staff and agency technical teams.
