Job summary

Amherst Group in West Virginia is hiring a full-time IT Desktop Support specialist to serve on-site for a 500+ user environment.

You will diagnose and resolve issues across Windows, macOS, and iOS devices, deploy endpoint management with Intune/BigFix, and support printers and AV equipment in conference spaces. The role emphasizes strong customer service, documentation, and collaboration with global IT teams to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT or related field.
2–4 years of enterprise desktop support experience.
Windows and macOS in a managed corporate environment.
Experience administering Intune/BigFix.
Proficient in Microsoft 365.
Experience with Jira Service Management.
Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

Serve as primary contact for on-site employees requiring hardware or software support.
Provide remote support via Jira Service Management queues and remote tools.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues on Windows, macOS, and iOS/iPadOS devices.
Configure, deploy, and maintain endpoint devices using Intune, BigFix, or equivalents.
Manage software installations, updates, patching, and endpoint compliance.
Provide first-level support for printers and AV equipment; coordinate vendor repairs.
Prepare equipment for new hires and process returns for departing staff.
Create and maintain knowledge base documentation; contribute to process improvements.
