Job summary

SB&O is seeking an IT Solutions Engineer for a contract assignment supporting a large regulated utility client. You will lead enterprise data platform and data engineering delivery across platform implementation, governance, and coordination with technical teams.

The role requires 8+ years of project leadership, 5+ years in data platform implementations, and hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry, Snowflake, and Ataccama. Remote work is predominant with some in-person days.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• At least 8 years managing complex technology or data-driven projects.
• At least 5 years leading enterprise data platform implementations.
• Project delivery experience with Palantir Foundry, Snowflake, Ataccama, and data engineering or data management solutions.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of ETL and ELT, SQL, data modeling, pipeline orchestration, and data integration.
• Experience with data governance, master data management, data quality, metadata, lineage, and cataloging.
• Experience leading cross-functional technical teams and using Agile and Waterfall delivery frameworks.
• Experience with planning, budget and resource management, risk and dependency management, and Jira or Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation work involving Palantir Foundry, Snowflake, Ataccama, and cloud data platforms.
• Coordinate data engineering and data management work across technical teams and business partners.
• Guide ETL and ELT delivery, data integration, pipeline orchestration, and warehouse or lakehouse designs.
• Address master data, data quality, metadata, lineage, cataloging, and governance needs.
• Manage delivery plans, resources, budgets, risks, dependencies, and technical handoffs.
• Use Agile and Waterfall methods as the work needs. Track delivery in Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
