Job summary

City of Raleigh is seeking an Enterprise Data Manager to oversee governance, management, and use of data to support decisions for 500,000 residents. You will lead the data team, implement a Snowflake-based enterprise data platform, and grow the data catalog and analytics capabilities across departments.

You will partner with vendors and business units to deliver trusted, secure data solutions, drive data literacy, and ensure AI readiness.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in IT, CS, business administration, or related field with 5–7 years of relevant experience.
Experience leading data governance, BI, and analytics programs across departments.
Ability to define policies, standards, and a data-driven culture.

Responsibilities

Lead the Data Team and build capability; provide leadership to Data Analyst and Senior Data Analyst and drive the enterprise data roadmap.
Coordinate enterprise BI activities and drive adoption of Snowflake across departments.
Drive data governance and the enterprise data catalog; establish policies, data quality, privacy and security standards.
Lead deployment and ongoing stewardship of the data catalog; set documentation standards and expand data discoverability.
Monitor and report data initiatives against KPIs; grow BI and a data-driven culture.
Partner with departments to identify data needs and deliver solutions; promote analytics and dashboards; provide training.
Facilitate a citywide data community of practice to grow data literacy.
Advance innovation, integration, and AI readiness; evaluate new data technologies and maturity.
