Responsibilities

• Evaluate, configure, and administer data governance tools and solutions.
• Build and maintain the enterprise data glossary and guide business stewards on best practices.
• Write and maintain data quality rules and repositories and drive issue resolution to closure.
• Map and maintain data lineage to provide transparency and traceability.
• Draft governance policies, standards, and metrics and champion their adoption across teams.
• Define roles and permissions with stakeholders to ensure appropriate data access.
• Partner with analytics, AI, and model teams so data foundations support reliable advanced use cases.
• Serve as primary contact for third-party data solutions, vendors, and data integration efforts.

Data Governance Lead (Individual Contributor)

Summary:

As Data Governance Lead, you’ll be the hands-on expert who designs, builds, and runs the enterprise data governance program. This is a senior individual contributor role with no direct reports. You’ll lead through expertise and influence, partnering across business, analytics, and AI teams to set the standards everyone builds on.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data governance, data management, or related areas, preferably in financial services
• Proven track record personally implementing enterprise data governance solutions, including data quality, lineage, and metadata management
• Strong working knowledge of data ownership, stewardship, access, and compliance
• Hands-on technical skills with Snowflake, SQL, Azure, GitHub, and third-party governance tools
• Ability to drive initiatives and influence stakeholders without formal authority
• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Ability to translate governance requirements into practical technical and business processes
