Job summary

Alation, a leader in data intelligence, seeks a Staff Deployment Strategist to drive high-impact deployments at the intersection of data intelligence, AI, and governance. You will act as a credible technologist trusted by business and technical stakeholders, guiding complex deployments and evaluations.

In this role you will partner with account teams during the sales cycle, understand customer AI architectures, lead POVs and adoption workshops, and deliver compelling product demonstrations

Qualifications

• 6–8 years in technical delivery, solutions consulting, or forward-deployed roles at data/AI platforms.
• Credible technologist with strong understanding of AI tech, architecture, and data ecosystems.
• Experience discussing integration points with enterprise customer teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with account teams as the technical advisor and product advocate.
• Understand customer AI/data architectures and where Alation fits to add value.
• Lead discovery sessions to surface governance challenges and outcomes.
• Own POV engagements, pilots, and adoption workshops with clear outcomes.
• Deliver platform demos tailored to enterprise stakeholders.
• Translate AI and platform concepts into actionable business terms.
• Navigate data and cloud platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Build a data-backed value story linking capability to business impact.
• Bring governance perspective to relevant conversations and cross-sell opportunities.
