Job summary

CRC Group, headquartered in Charlotte, NC, seeks a Head of Compliance to provide enterprise-wide leadership of regulatory and corporate compliance strategies across all functions and jurisdictions. Reporting to the General Counsel, this role will align compliance programs with evolving regulatory requirements and serve as the authority on compliance across CRC Group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Risk Management, Finance, Compliance, or related field.
• Master’s degree, Juris Doctor, or other advanced degree strongly preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, risk management, or related function in financial services or insurance.
• Proven track record as a senior compliance leader with enterprise-wide programs across units and jurisdictions.
• Deep expertise in regulatory requirements for insurance/financial services.
• Ability to lead and develop multiple compliance teams and talent development.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategic direction for CRC’s enterprise compliance function and implement policies and standards across functions and jurisdictions.
• Lead licensing, surplus lines, financial crimes, quality assurance, market security, and agency appointments.
• Partner with General Counsel and executives to identify, assess, and mitigate enterprise risks; provide executive reporting.
• Develop and improve enterprise-wide monitoring and audit programs; oversee risk assessments and remediation.
• Ensure operations comply with all applicable insurance/regulatory obligations.
• Maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry groups.
• Lead development and implementation of policies across regions and business units; ensure standard application.
• Champion culture of ethical conduct and proactive compliance across CRC Group.
• Lead, develop, and build a pipeline of compliance talent; establish accountability structures and succession plans.
• Develop training and policy review to mitigate E&O risk; contribute to strategic planning and external panels.
