BMO Financial Group is seeking an experienced Senior Compliance professional in Chicago to lead enterprise-wide regulatory programs, provide second-line oversight, and advise on evolving regulatory obligations. The role collaborates with Legal, Risk, HR, and business units to ensure strong governance, effective controls, and timely remediation across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Provide second line oversight of enterprise regulatory programs.
• Establish oversight frameworks, risk assessments, monitoring, governance, and reporting.
• Challenge first line owners on interpretations, risk, controls, and remediation.
• Advise leaders on regulatory obligations, trends, and best practices.
• Oversee compliance with affiliate transactions, conflicts, and accessibility obligations.
• Review policies, standards, and control frameworks for regulatory alignment.
• Monitor metrics and reporting for governance forums.
• Lead enterprise compliance assessments to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
• Support regulatory examinations, audits, and inquiries.
• Oversee remediation activities from audits and risk assessments.
