U.S. Bank is seeking an experienced leader to oversee governance and compliance across its legal entity structure. You will establish a robust framework, partner with Legal, Accounting, Finance, Tax, and HR, and drive governance strategy and reporting to senior leadership.

The role emphasizes risk management, controls, and timely regulatory filings across entities, with regular collaboration across multiple functions to ensure compliance and effective governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in accounting/finance/business/legal studies or related field.
• Eight+ years of progressive governance/compliance/risk experience in regulated industry.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Governance, oversight, and reporting: develop and execute the legal entity governance framework and report to senior stakeholders.
• Entity lifecycle management: manage creation, maintenance, and dissolution of legal entities; identify simplification opportunities.
• Stakeholder collaboration: act as central governance partner across Legal, Corporate Secretary, Accounting, Finance, Tax, HR, Compliance, and outside counsel.
• Risk management: identify and manage compliance issues; design controls and documentation for auditable execution.
• Compliance tracking: ensure timely filing of annual reports, license renewals, and jurisdictional requirements.
• Audit tracking: coordinate with accounting to ensure timely filing of financial statements and audits.
• Revenue agreement governance: oversee governance processes for new revenue agreements and data integrity.
