Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking a Customer Engineer to serve as a trusted technical advisor, bridging technical strategy and business value for enterprise customers. You will guide pre-sales validation, onboarding, deployment design, and lifecycle expansion, while leveraging AI-augmented workflows to reduce manual work.

You will own discovery, demos, onboarding, health monitoring, risk management, and expansion strategy in collaboration with Account Executives.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing technical role.
• Ability to white-board, design, and articulate complex enterprise network and security architectures clearly.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate deeply technical concepts into business outcomes.
• Commercial experience in quota-carrying or revenue-aligned environments.
• Deep knowledge of internet fundamentals, security, performance, and AI-enabled workflows.
• Willingness to travel up to 20–50% for customer meetings and events.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical deep-dive discovery with Account Executives.
• Capture business requirements and map customer infra to Cloudflare architectures.
• Own migration, onboarding and success plans for customers.
• Drive quarterly business reviews translating platform value to ROI.
• Act as trusted technical advisor across the customer lifecycle.
• Leverage AI to automate routine CE tasks and improve efficiency.
