Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte seeks a senior internal communications leader to drive enterprise transformation. You will advise senior leaders, translate strategy into clear messages, and foster engagement across the organization.

Embedded in the Leadership Advisory Communication & Activation function, you will partner with executives and cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and a collaborative culture focused on change and improvement.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in strategic communications with a focus on internal communications and change management.
• At least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Experience advising senior leaders and guiding messaging.
• Strong knowledge of change management methodologies (Prosci, Agile, Lean Six Sigma).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement enterprise-wide internal communications strategies aligned with objectives and transformation priorities.
• Advise leadership on internal messaging to boost leadership visibility and engagement.
• Translate complex strategies into clear messages for diverse audiences.
• Identify barriers to change and develop strategies to mitigate resistance.
• Collaborate with executives and cross-functional teams to drive alignment.
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure collaboration across communication efforts.
• Drive internal storytelling to connect strategies and campaigns.
• Ensure message consistency across enterprise divisions and departments.
• Foster two-way communication and feedback loops with teams and leaders.
• Support advisory councils and pulse-check effectiveness.
• Coach teammates to serve as effective communication advisors.
