Job summary

CME Group is seeking a Senior Director, Principal Enterprise Architect to shape the architectural health and evolution of a broad portfolio of products. You will operate at the highest levels of the Architecture Foundry's Central Hub and report to the Chief Architect, acting as the executive “City Planner” for the enterprise.

You will drive an automated, enablement-focused architecture paradigm, lead cross-functional teams, and promote a culture of ownership.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience in software engineering and enterprise architecture.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
• Strong executive leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Deep knowledge of cloud-native architectures, IaC, and modern governance.

Responsibilities

• Define Enterprise Strategy for a broad product portfolio and analysis of complex systems.
• Lead the Patterns Council to groom and prioritize enterprise backlogs and certifiable blueprints.
• Champion AI/GenAI, cloud-native design, and adherence to SIFMU standards.
• Influence executive stakeholders and collaborate with GIS Architecture, Product Owners, and Tech Solutions Analysts.
• Mentor Directors and Staff Architects to uplift architecture competencies across CME Group.
