Job summary

CME Group is seeking a Senior Director, Principal Enterprise Architect to lead architectural health and strategic evolution for a portfolio of products. You will drive a proactive enablement model, governance automation, and a scalable, compliant engineering culture across cross-functional teams.

Lead cloud migrations, IaC/PoC implementations, and advanced resiliency while aligning security and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

15+ years of progressive experience in software engineering and enterprise architecture, with executive leadership in high-throughput financial services environments.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

Define Enterprise Strategy for a broad product portfolio and drive cloud-native designs.
Lead Architecture by Enablement, building automated, repeatable paths for engineering teams.
Head the Patterns Council to groom enterprise backlogs of reusable blueprints.
Ensure software blueprints use IaC and Policy-as-Code.
Advise on AI/GenAI, cloud-native design, and compute-as-an-asset strategies.
Embed a You Build It, You Run It culture across the organization.
Mentor senior architects and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
