Job summary

Galveston County Human Resources is seeking an IT Applications Support professional to provide technical and functional support for enterprise and departmental applications. This role troubleshoots issues, manages incidents, and assists with configurations, testing, and deployments.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in IT or related field and at least one year of relevant experience, with preference for SQL, databases, and IT service management familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in business application support or IT support.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL is preferred.
• Experience with IT service management or ticketing systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical and functional support, administration, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting for enterprise, departmental, and line‑of‑business applications.
• Receives, investigates, and resolves application incidents, service requests, and user issues.
• Manages incidents via the departmental ticketing system and meets service level expectations.
• Performs routine application configuration and administration, including user/access administration and system settings.
• Assists with application implementations, upgrades, testing, and deployments as part of project teams.
