Job summary

United Future in the United States (Illinois) seeks an experienced Software & Applications Manager to lead the development, integration, optimization, and ongoing support of enterprise business applications within a manufacturing environment.

This role will manage a team of software developers, business systems analysts, product owners, and technical resources responsible for delivering technology solutions that improve operational efficiency, business performance, and the user experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT/CS.
• 7–15 years in software development or enterprise apps.
• 3+ years of software management leading teams of five+.
• Experience with .NET, JavaScript, or similar languages.
• Experience managing ERP applications, JD Edwards preferred.
• Experience with Agile (Scrum/Kanban).
• Experience secure software development practices.
• Collaboration with data science, analytics, automation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop software teams and product owners.
• Oversee development, integration, and support of enterprise apps.
• Set objectives, performance plans, and succession strategies.
• Manage budgets and external development resources.
• Promote a customer-focused culture and continuous improvement.
• Oversee JD Edwards ERP applications and system integrations.
• Partner with leaders to translate requirements into tech solutions.
• Develop roadmaps and prioritize enhancements by business value.
• Drive architecture, modernization, and CI/CD initiatives.
• Coordinate with IT Security and infrastructure teams.
