Job summary

Giesecke+Devrient in Bolingbrook, IL is seeking a System Application Support Engineer to maintain and improve critical business applications and infrastructure. You will serve as liaison between users, development, and vendor teams to ensure availability, performance, and reliability.

You will investigate complex issues, perform root cause analysis, support production environments, and contribute to automation and operational excellence initiatives in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of Application/Production Support, Systems Administration, or a related technical role.
• Experience supporting mission-critical business applications and services.
• Experience interacting with business users, vendors, and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for enterprise applications and business systems.
• Monitor application health, performance, and availability.
• Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Coordinate with development, infrastructure, networking, and vendor teams to resolve complex problems.
• Develop automation to improve operational efficiency.
• Create and maintain operational documentation and on-call participation.
