Job summary

Gravity IT Resources seeks a Senior Manager of Application Development to lead the Application Development and Power Platform teams, driving modernization, AI-enabled development, and platform governance for enterprise solutions. You will shape architecture, standards, and roadmaps to ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable software aligned with enterprise objectives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
Master's degree preferred.
8+ years of experience in software engineering, application development, platform engineering, or related technology disciplines.
5+ years of experience managing software engineering, application development, or technical engineering teams.
Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, DevOps, CI/CD, release management, and modern software engineering practices.
Proficiency with cloud platforms, APIs, integration technologies, and modern software architecture.
Demonstrated expertise in solution architecture, engineering standards, and technical governance practices.
Proven ability to evaluate, implement, or lead AI-enabled software development and intelligent automation in an enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

Drive application modernization, cloud transformation, automation, AI-enabled development, and platform engineering initiatives; develop technology roadmaps.
Lead and develop Application Development and Power Platform engineers with a culture of accountability, collaboration, and delivery excellence.
Provide technical leadership, staffing, performance reviews, and resource allocation across projects.
Establish standards for architecture, security, automation, and platform governance aligned with enterprise principles.
Enforce software engineering, DevOps, security, testing, and operational standards for reliable delivery.
Collaborate with business, Enterprise Architecture, Security, Data, Infrastructure, and Product teams to set strategies and roadmaps.
Develop and communicate metrics on engineering delivery, reliability, and productivity; provide risk assessments and recommendations.
Manage vendor relationships and external delivery partners to meet goals and budgets.
Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies and engineering practices.
Promote Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, test automation, and AI-assisted development practices.
Oversee governance and lifecycle management for Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Copilot Studio, and related capabilities.
Champion engineering excellence through architecture reviews, code quality, and operational maturity.
Maintain technology roadmaps supporting modernization, automation, cloud adoption, and AI-enabled capabilities.
Ensure security, privacy, data governance, and risk management are addressed.
Partner with stakeholders to leverage technology to improve processes and outcomes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
