Job summary

Mistral is seeking a Field CTO to act as a senior external technical voice, engaging CIOs and CTOs, shaping AI strategy for strategic accounts, and representing the company at major industry events.

You will work with regional sales leadership, publish thought leadership, build executive relationships, and feed market feedback into product direction; extensive travel (30-50%) is expected.

Qualifications

• Credible public track record in AI with publications or talks.
• Public stance on open-weight models aligned with enterprise needs.
• Fluent with European data sovereignty and on-prem deployment at CTO level.
• Experience engaging C-level stakeholders across multiple verticals.
• Able to engage across financial services, manufacturing, defense, and energy.
• 10–25 years in enterprise technology in senior roles.
• Willing to travel 30–50% depending on region.
