Job summary

NinjaTech AI is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to embed with enterprise customers, stand up initial production agent workflows, and translate customer needs into practical, secure automations on our platform.

You will work closely with customers, from frontline operators to CTOs, to ensure successful deployments and ongoing expansion. This is a senior, hands-on role at startup speed, onsite in the Bay Area with about 25% travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

• Engineering background with Python and at least one of TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, or Go.
• Curiosity about agentic AI and LLM systems: prompts, evals, orchestration, guardrails.
• Data fluency to wrangle large-scale real-world data and reason about storage and pipelines.
• Executive presence and ability to discuss with CTO and frontline users.
• Bias to ship: move fast with users and iterate.
• Willingness to travel up to ~25% and be onsite in the Bay Area.

Responsibilities

• Land the deployment by embedding with a newly-closed enterprise customer and stand up the first production agent workflows in weeks.
• Build custom, tailored solutions by wiring our platform into the customer’s data sources and internal systems, creating bespoke automations and guardrails.
• Be the technical face of NinjaTech, running sessions from frontline operators to the CTO and translating vision into architecture.
• Drive adoption and expansion by measuring usage and identifying high-value workflows to expand deployment.
• Navigate security reviews and data residency requirements including SSO/SCIM, SOC 2, and procurement due diligence.
• Close the loop to Product by feeding field feedback and, when possible, upstream a reusable component.
