Job summary

Prentis is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to deploy autonomous AI agents into real enterprise workflows. You’ll map messy processes, build agentic systems (tools + planning + memory), and own production reliability end-to-end.

You will work directly with customers to ensure measurable ROI and robust deployments across enterprise environments. We value hands-on experience shipping agentic workflows, strong Python/TypeScript skills, and a production-first mindset for reliability,

Qualifications

• Shipped agentic systems with tool use, planning, state/memory and reliability.
• Experience evaluating LLM/agent behavior with task suites and metrics.
• Production engineering mindset: tracing, incident debugging, rollouts and versioning prompts/tools.

Responsibilities

• Own deployments from discovery to production with measurable ROI.
• Design and build agentic systems with tools, planning loops, and memory.
• Implement reliability, retries, timeouts, and safe failure modes.
• Integrate enterprise tools and auth for auditable deployments.
• Develop monitoring, regression tests, and cost/latency dashboards.
• Troubleshoot production failures and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with founders to shape product roadmap and deployment playbooks.
