Ford Credit is seeking a Principal AI Architect to shape our enterprise AI strategy and deliver secure, cloud-native systems. This leader will build reusable patterns, govern agentic software, and drive modern AI delivery across the enterprise.

The role requires extensive architecture leadership, deep Google Cloud expertise, and a focus on Zero Trust, data protection, and auditable decision trails to enable safe AI-driven change.

Qualificações

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Candidates should bring at least 12 years of progressive technology experience, including eight years in architecture roles and sustained responsibility for enterprise decisions.
• Experience architecting and operating enterprise AI/ML systems in production, including generative AI, retrieval‑augmented generation, agentic workflows, evaluation, observability, and model lifecycle management.
• Deep cloud architecture experience on Google Cloud or similar hyperscaler and strong security architecture expertise (Zero Trust, IAM, secrets, APIs, threat modeling, data protection, software supply‑chain security).
• Strong understanding of AI safety and security risks and ability to create standards, reference architectures, roadmaps, and guardrails.

Responsabilidades

• Define Ford Credit’s multi-year enterprise AI architecture strategy, target states, transition roadmaps, standards, and investment priorities.
• Establish an AI-native software delivery lifecycle with explicit specifications, bounded execution, automated validation, evidence, and learning loops.
• Create reusable patterns for architecture manifests, technical plans, contracts, acceptance criteria, and audit trails.
• Architect production agentic systems integrating models, retrieval, tools, memory, orchestration, permissions, evaluation, observability, and recovery.
• Define risk-tiered autonomy, checkpoints, pause gates, human oversight, and auditable decision trails for consequential actions.
• Guide the modernization of hybrid and legacy systems through modular architectures, APIs, events, observability, and transition plans.
• Advise senior leaders and align across engineering, product, cybersecurity, data, legal, privacy, risk, procurement, and operations.
