Option Care Health is seeking a Nutrition Care Coordinator in Springfield, IL to support enteral nutrition patients by coordinating formula and supplies. You will liaise with enteral staff to maximize program effectiveness and ensure timely deliveries.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and basic medical terminology skills, plus experience with nutrition workflows and MS Office. Collaborative, patient-focused care is essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication with the public.
• Strong customer service ethic and problem solving.
• Basic medical terminology and office software skills.
• Experience organizing information and coordinating with teams.
• Knowledge of reimbursement and nutrition workflows.
• Experience in enteral nutrition is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor enteral patients monthly and review supply inventory.
• Maintain current enteral orders and renewals with prescribers.
• Provide formulary supply options within guidelines.
• Ensure approvals are valid before refills and assist with authorizations.
• Handle payments with Patient Pay team when needed.
• Coordinate enteral pump needs and troubleshooting with patients.
• Arrange pump swaps and yearly maintenance as required.
• Communicate inventory needs with Supply Chain and warehouse staff.
• Escalate clinical or operational issues to enteral leadership.
• Protect patient confidentiality and participate in on-call rotation.
