Job summary

Option Care Health is hiring for an Enteral Nutrition Coordinator in Springfield, IL. The role coordinates provision of formula and supplies, maintains enteral orders, tracks expiration dates, and communicates with prescribers and patients to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and at least one year of relevant work experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent customer service skills.
• Flexible and able to work effectively in multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
• Basic competency with Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

• Performs monthly monitoring of enteral nutrition patients including review of supply inventory and processing of delivery tickets.
• Maintains current enteral orders, tracks expiration dates, and faxes renewals to prescribers.
• Provides patients with formulary supply types and quantities within guidelines.
• Ensures authorization and order are not expired prior to refill; communicates with authorization team as needed.
• Takes payment from patients/caregivers; escalates questions to Patient Pay team.
• Responds to enteral patient inquiries and tracks shipments on request.
• Coordinates enteral pump swaps for maintenance and coordinates pump progress notes.
• Coordinates inventory needs with Supply Chain and CMC warehouse staff.
• Follow enteral discharge for inactivity process to maintain census; place outbound calls for monthly refills.
• Identifies and escalates complex enteral issues to the appropriate enteral team members.
