Job summary

Capital Medical Group in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to support the Surgery ENT practice and provide clinical and administrative support to patients and providers. This onsite role involves assisting physicians, preparing patients, performing injections under supervision, and ensuring efficient patient care.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, current BLS/CPR/AED certification, and MA

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• Current BLS/CPR/AED certification required.
• Certification and Registration as a Medical Assistant required.
• Minimum of one year of Medical Assistant experience required.
• Two to three years experience of general patient care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and nurses with patient histories, vitals, and prep.
• Prepare patients for examination and specimen collection.
• Administer oral and injectable medications as prescribed.
• Assist with minor procedures and maintain sterile technique.
• Explain tests and post-op instructions to patients.
• Retrieve and communicate lab results and pathology reports.
• Schedule imaging and other tests; manage patient instructions.
• Triage calls and coordinate care with providers.
• Maintain inventory and ensure equipment is ready for clinic.
