Mount Nittany Health in Altoona, PA seeks a Registrar Scheduler ENT to support patient visits, verify insurance, and manage appointments on-site. You will greet patients, collect information, and coordinate scheduling with care teams to ensure smooth patient flow.

The role requires an eye for detail, strong communication, and the ability to handle sensitive information with care. Prior office experience in a medical setting is preferred.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Office Professional program preferred.
• One year of experience in medical practice or clinical setting recommended.
• Strong customer service and communication skills essential.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures.
• Proficiency with copiers, fax machines, phones and computers.

Mansioni

• Greets and checks in patients, verifies and updates insurance information.
• Screens visitors, confirms appointments, and directs to appropriate area.
• Interviews new patients, records registration information in the system.
• Answers calls, takes messages and transfers as needed; handles emergencies.
• Schedules and reschedules patient appointments via computerized scheduler.
• Totals charges, collects payments, and issues receipts; schedules future visits.
• Maintains cash control and reconciles end-of-shift cash.
• Instructs patients on preparations, insurance requirements, and forms.
• Obtains referrals or financial waivers as required.
• Distributes forms and materials; completes office-related correspondence.
• Ensures reminder calls and follow-ups are completed; maintains orderly workspace.
• Participates in quality improvement activities.
