Job summary

Griffin Hospital seeks an ENT (Otolaryngology) physician to diagnose and manage diseases of the ears, nose and throat at its Derby, CT campus. The role involves patient evaluation, diagnostic testing, treatment planning and coordination with hospital programs.

The physician will supervise residents and medical staff, support wellness education, and participate in on-call coverage. A CT license and board certification in Otolaryngology are required, with H1-B cap-exempt arrangements possible.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited ENT residency.
• Valid Connecticut medical license or ability to obtain.
• Valid DEA registration and Controlled Substance Certificate.
• Board certification in Otolaryngology.

Responsibilities

• Provides medical care related to infections and diseases of the ears, nose and throat.
• Exams patients and obtains medical histories.
• Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic tests.
• Creates treatment plans.
• Initiates referrals to specialists and hospital programs.
• Ensures proper patient documentation is timely and accurate.
• Works with practice management to ensure proper billing and coding.
• Promotes wellness and health education.
• Participates on-call coverage with ENT providers at Griffin Hospital.
• Provides supervision of residents, medical students, nurses, medical assistants and other staff at the site.
