Job summary

The physician will diagnose and manage diseases of the digestive system, coordinate with other specialists, and contribute to teaching and quality initiatives within a community teaching hospital setting.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an Internal Medicine Residency.
• Completion of a Gastroenterology Fellowship.
• Current state medical license or eligibility.
• Board Certification or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
• DEA registration and controlled substance certification as required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and manage gastrointestinal diseases and related conditions.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures and coordinate care.
• Provide inpatient consultations and participate in call coverage.
• Collaborate with hospitalists, surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, and primary care providers.
• Maintain EMR documentation and comply with policies and accreditation requirements.
