Job summary

Cedars-Sinai seeks a Patient Service Rep to provide outstanding patient service, handle calls, schedule appointments, register patients and collect payments within the Cedars-Sinai Medical Network.

The role supports accurate demographic and insurance data, efficient check-in/out, and processes referrals and authorizations for a multi-specialty team. Infection prevention standards are observed and daily huddles are part of the routine.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Two years of experience as a Patient Service Rep in outpatient medical offices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides outstanding customer service through intake, prioritizing, and resolution of calls for a multi-specialty team.
• Greets patients and assists with resolving patient issues or raising patient issues.
• Check-in and check-out patients, collect co-payments, give receipts, reconcile payments; verify demographics and insurance data in CS-Link.
• Schedules appointments, registers patients, collects payments, and maintains a high standard of patient service.
• Assists with management of physician schedules and handles patient/provider correspondence; processes referrals and authorizations.
