Yavapai College is seeking an Admission Specialist to guide prospective students through the admissions process and support them from inquiry to enrollment. The position emphasizes personalized assistance, timely follow-up, and effective communication across multiple platforms to help students navigate registration and program progression.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent education and customer service experience.
• Experience with student information systems preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel monthly to other campuses during the year, with more frequent travel during registration periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist students through walk-ins, phone calls, email and chat, adapting service delivery.
• Guide admissions process from inquiry to enrollment by evaluating individual circumstances.
• Independently assess, prioritize, and respond to student needs throughout admissions and enrollment.
• Manage prospective, new, transfer, continuing, returning, and personal interest students with timely follow-up.
• Review admission applications and records for accuracy and identify discrepancies and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate demographic and academic data in SIS, ensuring data integrity.
• Document student interactions, progress, decisions, and follow-up actions for continuity.
• Collaborate with staff across the College to resolve complex student issues and promote success.
