Job summary

East Mississippi Community College is seeking an Enrollment Management Specialist to assist incoming students and families with understanding the Federal Student Aid Application process. You will review financial aid applications and determine eligibility for federal, state aid and scholarships while providing high-quality customer service.

Responsibilities include advising students and families, answering inquiries by phone and walk-ins, and assisting in awarding financial aid.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree minimum.
• 3-5 years in a comparable/related position.
• Interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise and counsel students, parents, and the college community on all aspects of the federal financial aid process/programs, including but not limited to federal and state eligibility requirements and academic progress.
• Answer incoming calls and assist students with inquiries regarding financial aid and enrollment management.
• Serve walk-in students regarding Financial Aid inquiries or processes.
• Assist students with understanding and completing the Federal Direct Loan Program regarding eligibility and requirements to receive a student loan.
• Assist with awarding Financial Aid (Federal, State and School).
• Oversee Federal Work-Study, award scholarships, FAFSA Days, and loan programs in line with federal rules; counsel on amounts and terms.
• Process ISIR Verification and monitor loan reporting.
• Award athletics scholarships within policy and coordinate with coaches; assist with MACJC term reporting.
• Evaluate Financial Aid Suspension Appeals for eligibility.
• Participate in trainings and webinars for timely processing and professional development.
• Participate in College Enrollment events and represent the College professionally.
